The core value of this product lies in the special texture on the surface of the bell and the starburst design at its center, which require an extremely high level of handcraft precision.
The pendant is a small, three-dimensional bell shape, with the lower edge slightly flared outward. Its overall form is full and rounded, made by high-precision lost-wax casting to ensure the bell’s three-dimensional structure is complete and the shape accurate. The lower edge of the bell is hand-polished to refine the curve, adding a touch of vintage elegance. For such a small pendant, weight balance must be carefully controlled to ensure it hangs upright when worn.
The bell’s surface uses a special vertical hand-texturing technique by experienced artisans, giving the bell a very fine, vertical, velvet-like grain. Compared with standard brushing, this texture has a stronger sense of granularity or felt-like softness, subtly softening the sharpness of the metallic luster and making the thick gold plating appear warmer and more restrained.
(Special hand-carved vertical texture: this is a high-difficulty, time-consuming surface process in which the artisan must polish evenly along the bell’s curved surface using extremely fine tools or sandpaper.)
At the center of the bell, a main crystal is set, surrounded by metal carved into a starburst or floral pattern, greatly enhancing the visual complexity and delicacy. The central stone is fixed by precise claw setting, and around it, hand-engraved radiating star lines are added. Through the refraction of light and shadow, the starburst carving makes the central crystal appear larger and more brilliant. Paired with a delicate beaded chain, each tiny bead is highly polished, creating a contrast of gloss with the bell’s matte texture.
